The Fear songstress has reportedly been offered £550,000 to sit on the famous judging panel
Outspoken songstress Lily Allen has landed a place on the hotly-contested X Factor judging panel, and offered a whopping £550,000 for her services, according to rumours today.
It’s thought the Smile songstress could be in the running to take over from media mogul Simon Cowell, if he leaves to concentrate on the American version of the hit show, set to be screened in the US later this year.
Rumour has it bosses were so keen to tempt Lily on to the show, they’ve not only offered her a whopping six-figure pay deal, but also the chance to work flexible hours, and miss out on the show’s gruelling schedule.
‘Both Syco (Cowell's company) and ITV are massive Lily Allen fans and the amount of money they're offering her makes it clear they think she will be the biggest draw on the show,’ a source revealed to the Daily Star over the weekend.
'She's known to have strong opinions and has huge credibility. There was a fear her hectic schedule may interfere with filming, so they've offered to divide the auditions between the judges.'

In the past, Simon Cowell has made no secret of the fact that he is a fan of lovely Lily, so it would come as no surprise if the songstress were to star in the show.
But so far, Lily has yet to comment on her involvement.
Meanwhile, it’s thought judges Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh will return to the hit series, while Cheryl Cole's role still hangs in the balance.
