Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton finally tie the knot
Liam Gallagher chose Valentine's Day to marry his girlfriend of eight years, Nicole Appleton.
The couple, who have a seven-year-old son Gene, married in a low-key ceremony at the Marylebone Registry Office – the same place Gallagher married his first wife, Patsy Kensit, in 1997. It's also where Paul McCartney married his first wife Linda in 1969.
The couple were so keen to keep their plans quiet, they turned down six-figure deals from glossy magazines and even posted seven different dates and eight venues on their wedding invitations, to keep the paparazzi off the scent.
Even guests, including Liam's brother Noel and mum Peggy, as well as Nicole's sister Natalie and her Prodigy hubby Liam Howlett, were kept in the dark until the last minute.
One guest said: 'It was exactly what they wanted - romantic, spontaneous and with only their nearest and dearest.'
Liam took time out from recording a new Oasis album in LA to come back and get married.
