Formula One lost one of its most exciting and glamourous couples last week and now racing star Lewis Hamilton has opened up on his split from Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
NICOLE AND LEWIS RELATIONSHIP IN PICS
Lewis, 26, revealed he's had a 'tough time' since the couple separated last week, after four years together.
He said: 'These times are sent to try you. And it's about how you pull through them.'
Insisting that he is still on amicable terms with American X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, 33, he added: 'We're friends and we can move forward. I have my family who are helping. So I feel pretty good.'
'I've many more days coming up with my family over Christmas and all that, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm just trying to look forward now, and we've three good races coming up, so I'm just trying to keep my mind focused on business.'

The couple, who began dating after meeting at the European Music Awards in Munich in 2007, separated last year to focus on their careers and then briefly reunited, before calling things off for good last week.
Hectic lifestyles and busy work schedules were to blame, singer Nicole is currently starring as a USA X Factor judge in Los Angeles, while Lewis Hamilton is based in Switzerland, but frequently travels the world with Formula One.
