Leslie Mann, star of This Is 40 talks to Marie Claire about working with her super successful spouse
Leslie Mann has carved out an impressive career starring in Knocked Up, The Cable Guy and many comedies, but she hasn’t ever worked on screen with her producer/director husband Judd Apatow and their two daughters until now.
The family join forces to star in This Is 40, directed by Judd, who is fresh from his work on the much-loved GIRLS and has his comedic genius still in tip top condition. The film follows Debbie and Pete who we first met in the film Knocked Up as them embark on a very realistic and humorous journey of what family live is really like.
Marie Claire cover star, Megan Fox also takes on the role of Debbie’s employee, Desi who understandably the men can’t help but lust after and takes on some very funny scenes.
Speaking of the strains and success of working with her husband and daughters Iris and Maude Leslie told us: ‘Judd is very open to my opinion and all of the other actors opinions it’s very collaborative.
‘I don’t feel like he’s this dictator who is barking orders. Some times he does but he expects me to listen and I expect him to listen it doesn’t feel like he’s the boss of me in that way.’
