The Glee actress has opened up about her fears of starring opposite Ashton Kutcher in New Year’s Eve
They looked pretty cosy together on the red carpet earlier this week at the LA premiere of their new film New Year’s Eve, but according to Lea Michele there’s no chance of a romance with co-star Ashton Kutcher because he’s out of her league.
In an interview with New York Magazine, the Glee actress reveals that she ‘freaked out’ after learning that she would be strarring opposite the heart-throb in the Garry Marshall directed festive rom-com.
When asked if she was curious about the casting of her love interest, she said: ‘I was! Garry was like, "Who do you think is cute? What guys do you like? Who do you want to be in this movie with you?" And I was like, "I don't know, I've never been asked before!" I didn't mention Ashton's name just because, I gotta say, I kinda felt like he was a little out of my league.’

She added: ‘You know, this guy's like, the hottest guy, and then when they called and said that Ashton was doing it, I was really freaked out. I thought I should have picked someone else and said, "You have to use this person!" so I wouldn't have been nervous.’
However, the Glee star later revealed that she loved working with Ashton, who helped her in her first big screen role: ‘He challenged me, and it was a really great pairing, I think.’

The two actors looked a rather well matched couple to us as they giggled and flirted their way through their red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of the film, with Ashton – who recently split from wife Demi Moore after a series of alleged affairs surfaced – even having a cheeky glimpse down Lea’s low-cut dress.
Lea also used the interview to open up about the rumours swirling that she is about to be cast in the big screen adaptation of Les Miserables.
She said: ‘I'm happy to be considered, and I'm happy to be in the realm of the other girls who are being considered because that's the coolest thing for me. When I heard the other people they were considering, I was like, wow, this is awesome. I became like, a fan dork girl.’
