The new singing sensation, Lana Del Rey, disappointed fans by pulling out of a London show last night, citing illness as the reason.
The Video Games singer was forced to cancel her gig as part of the MTV Brand New For 2012 event at London's Koko club last night because of ill health.
MTV bosses released a statement, which read 'Due to illness Lana Del Rey is regrettably not able to perform at tonight's MTV UK Brand New For 2012 show at London's Koko and sends her apologies to all her fans.'
The cancellation may cause more backlash for Del Rey, who has come under heavy criticism due to her recent shaky performance on America's Saturday Night Live, just weeks before her Born To Die album release.
Actress and musician Juliette Lewis tweeted: 'Watching this 'singer' on SNL is like watching a 12-year-old in their bedroom when they're pretending to sing and perform.'

The 25-year-old, who was tipped to be the one to watch for 2012, explained away her less-than-perfect performance on having other things on her mind.
She told MTV News: 'If I have other things to think about, or I'm trying to get things done for somebody else, and I'm not in my own way, then... I'm like, "This doesn't really matter."'
It hasn't been an easy week for the American singer, who has also come under fire for swearing on BBC Radio 6 and has been the victim of abusive hate mail because of her excessive pouting.
Perhaps it's just jealously, as her infamous bee-stung lips won her a modelling contract with Next Model Management last week.
And despite the criticism, sales of Lana's new album, released on Monday, are expected to go through the roof, already making Amazon's top 25 in America on pre-sales alone.
