Newcomer Lana Del Rey receives nods for Best Band and Best Track, while award-winner veteren Florence Welch is up for Hottest Woman, at this year's NME awards. Elsewhere, Noel Gallagher has been nominated for Best Solo Artist and Best Album, but brother Liam has fared less well.
He's a contender for Villain of the Year, where David Cameron, Nick Clegg, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are also shortlisted for the, erm, 'award.'
Brother Noel, however, has already been revealed as the winner of this year's Godlike Genius prize and has received a nod in the Hero of the Year category, alongside Noel Fielding, Alex Turner, Matt Bellamy and Dave Grohl.
The boozy bash will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall on February 29 and will feature live performances by The Vaccines and Kasabian.
Leading the nominations this year are Arctic Monkeys, who are up for an unprecedented seven awards including Best British Band, Best Album and Best Track (for The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala). Matt Helders from the Arctic Monkeys said: 'We're up for all the big ones - we're very happy. We had a lot of fun making 'Suck It And See' and it's great to be up for Best Live Band. That's all we do - record or play live - so it's good to be recognised.'
Potential triple winner Florence Welch also adds: 'I'd be so excited to win an NME Award - I've never won one! I've only been once to the NME Awards ceremony and it's the drunkest I've ever been at an awards ceremony.
