The stage looks set for a fashion face-off between Elton John and Lady Gaga at the Grammys this Sunday
The stage looks set for a fashion face-off this Sunday with the rumour that popstars Elton John and Lady Gaga are to perform together in a duet at the Grammys.
The two singers, both of whom are well known for their willingness to partake in sartorial experiments, are hotly tipped for a duet after organisers at the Grammys were in talks to get them to collaborate. Elton refused to dispel the rumours after he was quizzed on the plans at the Rainbow Media dinner at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah this week.
Taking the stage with Elton is sure to be a highlight of Lady Gaga's life so far after she recently commented on her career: 'The turning point for me was the gay community.'
It's not the musical side of things that is exciting us though. Instead we're hoping that Gaga's uniquely odd sense of style will encourage Sir Elton to relive the days of his youth, way back in the distant Seventies, when a shiny lycra jumpsuit and bad hair was de rigueur for the nation's popstars.
Our ultimate 'happy place' will be reached when Lady Gaga's razzle-dazzle styling persuades Elton to break out of the confines of his, now middle-aged, wardrobe and dig out his glittery seven-inch platform boots from the back of the closet.
