Lady Gaga puts curvier figure down to Dad’s delicious Italian cooking

Lady Gaga revealed her new physique is the result of some well-deserved indulgence

Lady Gaga is one of the hardest working women in pop, but this of course comes with stresses and strains. And, like most of us, her weight can fluctuate. As she embarks on the latest leg of the Born This Way tour, the star has been sporting a curvier frame - and she says it’s all the result of home cooking.

But when you’re a superstar of Lady Gaga’s magnitude it won’t be just any home cooking. Her father, Joe Germanotta, owns a restaurants in New York, and the singler has revealed her reported 25lb weight gain is all down sampling his cusine.

IS LADY GAGA PREGNANT?

Following some well deserved pizza, pasta and all other delicious Italian delicacies, the 26-year-old says she’s going to avoid the eatery. She told radio host Elvis Duran:

‘I love eating pasta and pizza. I’m a New York Italian girl. That’s why I have been staying out of New York. My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing.

'It’s so freaking delicious, but I’m telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I’m, like, “I’ve got to go where I can drink green juice.”'

Of course it’s not like Gaga to hold anything back and she gave a refreshingly frank answer about how she feels about her new figure.

She added: ‘I really don’t feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly.

‘It’s hard because it’s a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don’t like that. So I’m trying to find a new balance.'
