Lady Gaga broke up with former fiancé Taylor Kinney last year after five years together. And now, Lady Gaga is finally revealing what went wrong in her new documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.
When the two broke up in July 2016, Gaga did share some reasons why the couple wasn’t doing so well in a sombre Instagram post. Things seemed fine post breakup as Kinney showed up for his ex, cheering during her Super Bowl halftime performance.
But as she discussed the split more, Gaga seemed to hint that something a little deeper was the reason the two didn’t work out.
The pop star’s new documentary premiered at at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, and it follows the end of Gaga and Kinney’s relationship.

From the start of the film, Gaga reveals that her relationship with the Chicago Fire star is not in a great place.
'Me and Taylor are fighting, so that sucks,' the singer admits. 'My threshold for bullshit with men is just—I don’t have one anymore. In relationships, you have to move together.'
The documentary reveals heartbreaking moments of the singer crying as she discusses the real reasons the two finally split.
'My love life has just imploded. I sold 10 million [records] and lost Matt. I sold 30 million and lost Luke. I did a movie and lose Taylor. It’s like a turnover. This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this.'
Gaga and Kinney ended things shortly after she landed a leading role in A Star Is Born. This revelation is awful for sure, but not surprising. A woman has a super successful career and that negatively impacts the relationship? Not OK.
But while all of us may want to get a tissue box at this moment, let’s remember that Lady Gaga has moved on and things are looking pretty good.
She stunned at her film’s premiere in a Lanotta Studio jacket and insanely flared black pants.
The singer also recently proclaimed she loved her new boyfriend, Christian Carino, during a concert. Awww!
Gaga: Five Foot Two debuts on Netflix on September 22nd.
