Eccentric singer wins eight awards, but stuns crowd with bizarre dress made of raw meat
Lady Gaga cleaned up at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, scooping eight awards - but stunned crowds with her bizarre dress sense.
The eccentric singer is known for her outrageous style and performances, but appeared to push things even further for the awards ceremony in Los Angeles with a dress made completely of raw meat.

Gaga collected three awards on-stage, winning Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year, all for her song Bad Romance.
The hit singer-songwriter appeared in two amazing Alexander McQueen gowns to collect Best Female and Best Pop Video, but turned eyes and stomachs when she joined Cher on-stage to collect Video of the Year in a meat dress, topped with a steak beret and shoes also fashioned from raw meat.
Gaga, 24, recently posed for Japanese Men's Vogue draped in raw meat, but took the theme even further for the VMAs. Her dress, hat, shoes and even handbag all seemed to be made from cuts of raw meat, an outfit that will surely garner criticism from animal right's groups such as PETA.

The Bad Romance singer also collected three awards before the ceremony, including Best Dance Music Video for Bad Romance, and Best Collaboration for Telephone with RnB queen Beyoncé.
Following the furore of Kanye West's outburst last year - when he snatched the mike from Taylor Swift and declared Beyoncé deserved her award for Best Video - all eyes were on the rapper during this year's ceremony.
But instead he apologised to Swift in a song that poked fun at his behaviour during the incident that has overshadowed his career since: 'I always find something wrong; you've been putting up with my s*** for too long', he sang.

Swift also appeared to be putting last year's show behind her in song that she wrote specially for West.
The 20-year-old country singer sympathised with his difficult time in the spotlight and acknowledged that often his ego gets in the way of his music: 'Thirty-two and still growing up now; who you are is not what you did... You're still an innocent'.
Despite the outfits - Katy Perry also turned up with photos of fiancé Russell Brand on her nails - this year's VMAs seemed relatively sedate compared with previous years.
Host Chelsea Handler stayed away from controversial topics, unlike previous host Russell Brand, while most of her jokes fell flat. Even her plea to the audience to 'be on their worst behaviour; I want to turn this mother out', seemed to fall on deaf ears.
