Lady Gaga says she 'wanted people to believe' she was in love with Bradley Cooper
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's unforgettable performance at the Oscars earlier this year made headlines around the globe. The pair, who starred alongside each other in A Star Is Born, sang Shallow from the hugely successful movie and their intimacy got a lot of people talking.
At the time, Gaga posted a photo of their performance on Instagram, writing: 'Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius.'
But it sparked endless romance rumours. Shortly afterwards, Bradley split from Irina Shayk and Gaga split from her fiancé Christian Carino which only added fuel to the fire.
However, Gaga has now addressed the assertions that there was something going on between the pair.
Oprah spoke to Lady Gaga about her career during a recent interview with Elle, discussing the film and her relationship with Bradley.
Talking about her recent visit to Bradley's house, Oprah says: 'We were talking about all the rumours about you guys last year. He said if they had been true, he never would have been able to look you in the eye sitting at that piano.
Lady Gaga replied: 'Absolutely, absolutely.'

The actress and singer went on to say that they had planned out the whole 'orchestrated performance', admitting: 'I mean, we made a love story. For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.
'We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance.'
So there you have it.
