The singer ended up in debt after spending millions on stage outfits
She may be known for her unique fashion sense and outlandish stage costumes, but Lady Gaga has revealed that her wardrobe choices have landed her in the red, after massively overspending during her Monster’s Ball tour.
The Born This Way singer admitted she had no idea she was £1.82million in debt after her 18 month tour.
The 25-year-old stated: 'I remember I called everybody and said, 'Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five No. 1 singles' and they said, 'Well, you're $3million in debt.''
But despite the heavy blow to her finances, the singer still managed to turn around a profit on the 200 show tour.
Not that she’s bothered about the money anyway – Gaga told Stephen Fry in the Financial Times that it means 'nothing' to her.
'It’s honestly true that money means nothing to me. The only big things I’ve ever purchased are my dad’s heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary.

'And that was only because my dad had a Lady Gaga license plate on our old car and it was making me crazy because he was getting followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car.'
With her new album selling more than 215,000 records in the UK during its first week on sale, we don’t think she needs to worry about what she spends on her next tour…
