'It wasn't meant to be'
Kylie Minogue has spoken out about her break up from British Actor Joshua Sasse for the first time since the split, and we're glad to hear that she's very optimistic for the future.
'It wasn't meant to be and so I look forward to moving on, richer for the experience' she told Australian newspaper the Sunday Herald Sun in an exclusive interview.
'I haven't had the white picket fence and happy ever after in my life, so far, but perhaps that's just not my destiny. I know love and I love to be in love.'
Kylie confirmed the split from Sasse, 29, a few weeks ago on her social media. The couple were together for almost a year and a half, having got engaged a year ago in February 2016.
Posting a picture of a cloudy sunrise to Instagram, she wrote: 'Thank you or all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life. Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways. We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons.'
Kylie isn't the only star to share words of wisdom about the end of a relationship – these celebrity break-up quotes will make you feel *slightly* better about your own heartbreak.

The singer had recently told You magazine that she planned to take her husband-to-be's name when they married.
She told the magazine: ‘Kylie Sasse is a great name... Kylie Minogue has never exactly tripped off the tongue. I'll definitely be taking Sasse but there will be Minogue in there somewhere.’
