Kylie Jenner appears to have successfully transitioned from the little sister of a reality TV star to owner of an incredibly lucrative beauty business in next to no time. Since the launch of her lip kits in late 2015, the world has been lapping up her cosmetics and her products sell out in mere minutes.
While Kim Kardashian also launched a make-up line of her own recently (and was predicted to make a staggering £11 million in the first five minutes), Kylie Cosmetics has taken off on an unprecedented scale. According to reports, it is set to become a billion dollar beauty brand by 2022.
In a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, Kylie and momager Kris revealed that the 20 year-old has raked in a whopping $420 million in retail sales over the last eighteen months. She made $10 million in a day when she launched her birthday collection in August, but it pales in comparison to the $18 million she earned on November 21 when she released her holiday collection.
Casual.
With Kylie Cosmetics on route to becoming a billion dollar company in the next five years, it surpasses the efforts of some of the biggest names in the business - it supposedly took Bobbi Brown Beauty 25 years to reach that level, and L'Oréal's Lancôme a comparable 80 years.

And the beauty mogul isn't even done yet. She is looking to release concealers and foundations to complete her line, focussing on how to deliver the perfect shade match for online buyers.
The idea of having her own store, though, isn't lost on her, with Kylie telling WWD: 'I don't know how we're going to do it. I think it's time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics.
'I do want that but we haven't figured out exactly how we're going to do that and what approach were going to take.'
If her online sales are anything to go by, we're sure a shop will be a roaring success.
