Actress Kristin Davis has followed in the footsteps of her Sex and the City character Charlotte, by adopting a baby girl.
The proud mum announced the news of her tiny new arrival – little Gemma Rose Davis - over the weekend, revealing she feels ‘blessed’ to have adopted her first child.
Admitting she took baby Gemma Rose home a few months ago, but decided to keep the news a secret to begin with, Kristin told American magazine People that adopting is something she’s wanted to do ‘for a very long time.’
‘Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I had ever imagined. I feel so blessed,’ the beaming starlet told the magazine.
The single actress – who is currently acting as an ambassador for charity Oxfam – last year spoke of her wish to start a family, telling Access Hollywood: ‘I would love to have children. I would love to adopt. I would still like to find a man and have a baby with him. I haven’t given up.’
