The 'delighted' star took to Twitter to announce her happy news

‘Delighted’ British beauty Kelly Brook has confirmed she is expecting her first child – a baby girl – with rugby player boyfriend Thom Evans.

Just days after Kelly was spotted out and about sporting a slightly fuller figure, the usually svelte starlet took to Twitter to explain her growing curves, sharing her happy baby news with fans.

'Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted XXXX,’ the 31-year-old model revealed.

It’s thought the actress is around three-months pregnant, and has had her first scan.

Kelly and Thom – who have been dating for just a matter of months - met back in November, and were first spotted out and about together during Kelly’s birthday celebration in London.

But the ‘smitten’ pair have kept a low profile since then.

It’s thought Thom – who was recently forced to give up his professional rugby career, after sustaining a spinal injury – has been living with Kelly in LA, as she works on her acting career.

Kelly split with Danny Cipriani – also a rugby player, and Thom’s one time London Wasps teammate – last summer, following the sports star’s impending move to Australia to play for the Melbourne Rebels.

But there are clearly no hard feelings between the pair. Danny has already offered Kelly and Tom congratulations on their happy news, adding his ex-beau will be a 'great mum'.

‘Kelly told me in January that she was expecting,’ he revealed last night. ‘I’m really happy for her. She’ll be a great mum.’
