Katy Perry is a hit at the UK premiere of Part of Me: 3D

Katy Perry wowed her fans, and one young man in particular, at the premiere of Part of Me: 3D in London

Katy Perry was on top form at the UK premiere for her movie Part of Me: 3D last night, where she wowed her fans and made the night, possibly year, of one special young man.

The Firework singer was in high spirits as she took to the red carpet outside the Empire Cinema in London's Leicester Square.

Wearing a gorgeous Marchesa gown, Katy showed her affection for Blighty by using a Union Jack brolly to shield herself from our unseasonable weather and even adorned her eyes with bespoke Eyelure Union Jack lashes.

Speaking to her fans, Katy said: 'This is kind of awesome. It's freezing but it's so lovely to be here.

'This premiere is the most mental for sure. I love the English - I have a long romance with them.'

Perry added: 'Thank you for supporting my weirdness the whole way through. I wouldn't be here in this ridiculous outfit on this pink carpet without you all.'

One young fan in particular caught Katy's eye and she probably made his year by spending extra time chatting to the boy and even letting him plant a kiss on her cheek.

In the movie, Katy, 27, has been very candid about her divorce from Russell Brand.

One scene shows Katy on a plane asking one of her crew when her next break in the tour is so she can fly and see her husband. She then seems upset when she's told she won't be able to see him for another 18 days.

When asked by one of her entourage when Brand is coming out to see her, she responds: 'He should but he's not.'

Adding: 'I'm fighting to keep my marriage alive.'

Part Of Me: 3D hits UK cinemas tomorrow, 5th July.
