Katy Perry breaks down in tears over her relationship with Russell Brand and talks about the strain that her tour schedule had on their marriage in new film Part Of Me.

In the film, Katy Perry struggles to hold back tears as she talks candidly about the her relationship problems.

Part of Me follows Katy on her 2011 tour and showed the Firework singer's despair over the strain it put on her and Russell's relationship.

Although the singer tried to make every effort to see her husband as much as possible, the gruelling schedule kept them apart which frustrated Katy. The stresses of being on tour nearly led to her missing concert dates as she contemplates refusing going on stage in Brazil.

In one scene Katy looked distressed as she was informed she wont be able to see Russell for 18 days and in another short a crewmember asks Katy if Russell is coming to visit her.

An angry Katy responds: 'He should but he's not.'

She later admits: 'I'm fighting to keep my marriage alive.'

A friend then adds: 'She should be resting, but she wants to fly to wherever Russ is to show she cares. She's running herself ragged.'

RUSSELL BRAND FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM KATY PERRY

Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry during her time in tour in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. In a scene filmed shortly after their split, Katy admits she still misses him: 'I'm a romantic and I believe in the whole fairytale.

'Love is a dream but the reality is making it work. I did everything I could - but its still failed.'

Poor Katy, we hope she finds love again soon!
