Chained to the panel?
Chained to the panel?

Katy Perry has been a very busy lady. Not only has she been filming her very own segment for Carpool Karaoke, she has announced that she'll be popping over to the UK to perform at Glastonbury and she has been putting the final touches to her brand new album (which may or may not be about Taylor Swift).
But according to reports, Katy isn't stopping there as rumour has it she's preparing to take on a brand new job.
TMZ claims that the Dark Horse singer is set to replace Kelly Clarkson as a judge on popular TV talent show, American Idol.
Kelly, who won the show back in 2002 (has it really been that long?), is apparently moving over to rival competition, The Voice, leaving a space in the judging panel for Katy.
Sources told the site: 'Idol's goal is to announce Katy is joining for the reboot during the ACB Upfronts this week.

'Our sources say they will not announce the other 2 judges because Idol hasn't even decided who it wants.'
Apparently, Katy is also 'very interested' and 'is open to scheduling potential tour dates around the show's taping schedule.'
