In the first TV interview since getting married to cage-fighting champion Alex Reid, Katie Price described reports that the two are headed for divorce as 'a joke'.
Sat on the sofa at the GMTV studios, Price displayed disbelief at the way the tabloids were picking on the couple saying, 'It's absolutely shocking... I've been keeping a low profile recently so I don't know where they're getting it from.'
The cage-fighting champion and glamour model got married in a surprise wedding last week in a small chapel in Las Vegas. Price described the ceremony as 'not tacky at all' and declared: 'As it stands we have not done a magazine deal... the chapel filmed the whole thing. It was beautiful.'

The 31-year-old mother of three told GMTV that there were no plans for her and Alex to work together on television saying, 'He's got his own thing going on. I've learned from my mistakes'. On her new husband's relationship with her children she mentioned that Alex was good with the kids: 'He's like a "manny."'
And it sounds like it won't be long before Alex and Katie have some children of their own as the star revealed that the two were in a 'happy place' and trying for a baby.

Responding to question about whether she'd seen the Sky News interview with former husband Peter Andre, she said: 'Pete's a fantastic dad, he's absolutely brilliant with Harvey. I heard about the Sky News thing, in fact my mum recorded it and I watched it. I thought it was so cruel and out of order.
'They can't compare Dwight [Yorke[ to Pete at all. There's no comparison, Pete is there and has been like his [Harvey's] dad and is fantastic with him.'
