The glamour model's symbolic gesture of inking out her husband's name tattoo signals marriage end
In a signal to the world that her marriage is definitively finished, Katie Price has had a tattoo with husband Peter Andre’s name crossed out on her wrist.
Rather than have the original ‘Pete’ tattoo removed, the glamour model stopped by a tattoo parlour in Ibiza and shelled out £85 to have a black cross inked over Andre’s name, which sits just above another tattoo of the estranged couple’s daughter’s name, Princess [Tiáamii].
Price showcased the crude manoeuvre while on board a yacht in the Spanish island, surrounded by a bevy of male models. Sporting a white string bikini to highlight her burgeoning tango tan, Price held court while her male companions – including ‘boyfriend’ Anthony Lowther – looked on.
Speculation grew last week that Price had had the tattoo removed altogether after she was photographed leaving a tattoo parlour wearing a blue plaster on her wrist.
The symbolic gesture will no doubt incense Andre who is currently on a break in Cyprus with the ex-couple’s two children Junior, 4, Princess Tiáamii, 1 and Price’s son, Harvey, 7.
While Katie has Tweeted in the last few days that, ‘He left me nt [sic] me leave him,’ Peter has responded in his weekly New! Magazine column saying: 'I know everyone is waiting for me to comment on all the stories in the papers regarding me and Kate, but I honestly can't read any of them because I know it will only cause me pain.'
