Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll 'refuse to accept' they cannot have a private life

Kate Winlset has vowed to fight for her right to a normal family life in the wake of Ned Rocknroll's success in blocking the publication of 'embarrassing' photos.

Yesterday, Kate, 37, and her new husband won a High Court bid to stop The Sun printing ‘innocent but embarrassing’ photographs of him at a birthday party two years ago.

Following the ruling the couple issued a joint statement saying that they will continue to try to live a normal life.

‘We recognise that in the internet age privacy is harder and harder to maintain. But we will continue to do what we can, particularly to protect Kate’s children from the results of media intrusion. We refuse to accept that her career means our family can’t live a relatively normal life.'

Mr Justice Briggs ruled against The Sun newspaper following a two-day hearing and said he would give reasons for his decision at a later date.
