Following her split from husband Sam Mendes, Kate Winslet has turned to Leonardo DiCaprio as a shoulder to cry on
Following the shock announcement that she and husband Sam Mendes have split, Kate Winslet is reportedly being comforted by her two-time co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
The pair starred side-by-side in both Titanic and Revolutionary Road, the latter of which Mendes directed, and the stress of working on reportedly led to his and Kate's eventual marriage breakdown.
While the estranged couple may have officially announced their split on Monday, it is rumoured that they ended their relationship months ago, and that DiCaprio has offered Winslet a shoulder to cry on as she faced her second divorce.
KATE & SAM: RELATIONSHIP IN PICS
A source revealed to The Sun: 'Leo and Kate have been like brother and sister since they starred in Titanic together. And since Kate's marriage started to go south, around the time they were filming Revolutionary Road, they've got closer again.
'They were so young when Titanic came out, so it's fair to say they basically grew up together, professionally at least. They were thrust into stardom together and were the only people who knew what the other was going through. He's been a rock for her' the source concluded.
