Prince William certainly knows how to throw a posh party.

The Duke of Cambridge hosted a charity dinner for the Royal Marsden Hospital at Windsor Castle on Tuesday night. And while his lovely wife Kate Middleton was noticeably absent, he had plent of other beautiful ladies to keep him company.

Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne were among the British A-listers who threw on their glad rags for the elegant event, sponsored by Ralph Lauren.

Kate wore a stunning navy-blue dress with a sexy slit and a single sheer sleeve. Her younger counterpart, Cara, chose a black halter-neck dress and opted for seriously smokey eyes.

Though the Duchess of Cambridge was unable to attend - Wills apologised politely for her absence - she was still a topic of conversation. Before the event, Ralph Lauren shared his opinion on the royal couple: 'Everyone loves her in the US,' he said. 'She’s got a charming way about her and she’s very beautiful. I think she’s doing her job - as the Prince’s wife and mother of the future king - perfectly.'

He added: 'And the Prince comes across as a good guy - they seem like a couple you’d want to talk to - real people.'
