Kate Middleton and Prince William want what nearly every millennial wants
Oh, to be a fresher again.
Oh, to be a fresher again.
If you can cast your mind way back when, there was a time when Kate Middleton and Prince William were just a couple of kids falling in love at St. Andrews university. It goes without saying that uni’s an important time for those that go and frequently becomes one of the fondest memories in most people’s adult lives, although it’s become clear that it has a special significance to the now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. While visiting the University of Leicester, Kate was in a nostalgic mood as she spoke with fans and said it felt like “coming back again” to Yahoo Lifestyle.
She chatted with the outlet and reminisced, “[Prince William and I] have fond memories of our time together at university. It’s always nice, it’s a weird sort of bubble.”
Kate continued wistfully, “We’d just like to be students again.”
We hear you, Kate. What we wouldn’t give to be back in first year, away from any real world responsibilities.
According to Hello!, Kate and Prince William met at St. Andrews in 2001 and met while they were both living at the same halls: St Salvator’s Hall. They claimed that they didn’t launch immediately into a romance, as the publication revealed she had been dating “a former St Andrews student” at the time but instead became great pals and wound up “sharing the same flat in the second year of university”. Cosmopolitan claims that they were dating by Christmas 2003 and by June 2005, they were “pictured looking very much in love on the day of their graduation ceremony”.
Flash forward to today and the pair have been happily married for several years, with three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. We’ve got a soft spot for a uni romance that endures and their relationship is basically the cream of the crop.

Although the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge have handled the major media attention following their uni days like pros, it must have been a huge adjustment - especially for Kate Middleton. Back in St. Andrews, they were a way away from the spotlight and been treated to a rare few years of privacy which we don’t doubt were instrumental to their relationship.
In the same video, Kate Middleton was also asked about Meghan Markle’s pregnancy and more specifically, how she felt about it. There’s been a surge of pretty nasty rumours about the pair (which are sexist AF in our opinion) and she laid them all to rest in one fell swoop, gushing over her sister in law’s future arrival.
She said, “Yeah, absolutely! It’s such a special time to have kiddies..It’ll be really special.”
She also continued that she was excited to have “a cousin for George and Charlotte, as well, and Louis”. We’re already overwhelmed by how cute those play dates are going to be
