The Duchess Of Cambridge has stepped out wearing Catherine Walker on what is expected to be her final day of duty before going on maternity leave.

Taking part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade alongside husband Prince William, Kate presented a traditional sprig of shamrocks to each of the Irish Guards, including their mascot, an Irish wolfhound named Domhnall.

Kate wore the same gold shamrock brooch that she does every year at the event, originally given to the Queen Mother by the Irish Guards. (See Kate's favourite fashion brands, here)

To make the look her own, she teamed it with pear drop earrings by Kiki McDonough, a fine jewellery designer stocked at Browns.

She wore a Lock & Co hat with her Catherine Walker coat dress – a label that she’s regularly been spotted in since becoming pregnant with her second child.

Last week the Duchess made a visit to the set of Downton Abbey and met with cast members including Michelle Dockery (who plays Lady Mary Crawley) and Joanne Froggatt (ladies' maid Anna Bates).

Royal baby number two is due at the end of April giving Kate just a few weeks to kick off her court shoes and relax before the big arrival.
