Kate Middleton to cover US Vogue?

Rumour has it the magazine is desperate for the Duchess to star on the cover…

She’s won over the world since she was thrown into the spotlight at her royal wedding to Prince William, and now it seems Kate Middleton could be in line to become a cover girl.

Rumour has it Editor Anna Wintour is desperate for the Duchess to star in a shoot for the magazine and a royal cover.

‘There’s nothing trashy or vulgar about her,’ the famous US editor has been quoted as saying. ‘She dresses her age and never looks out of place.’

It’s thought Kate already turned down an invitation to take part in a shoot with British Vogue, ahead of her wedding in April.

But it seems Ms Wintour has a few tricks up her sleeve.

According to the New York Post, she's has enlisted the help of famous fashion snapper – and photographer of several of William and Kate’s royal shots – Mario Testino, to help him ‘win over’ the newest royal.

‘Anna has been speaking to Mario about winning over Kate. She is really pressing him to shoot Kate for the cover,’ one insider revealed. 

Another added: ‘Every magazine has been trying to get Kate, and many assume it will eventually be Vogue. 

‘But even with the Mario Testino relationship, it is not clear when this will happen. The Palace must approve it, and they are very protective of Kate.'

So far, both Clarence House and Buckingham Palace have declined to comment.
