Kate Middleton has returned Anglesey to prepare for Prince William's 'low-key' 30th birthday celebrations, according to reports.
It had been rumoured the Duchess of Cambridge was planning a surprise party for Prince William at one of the royal palaces in London.
But yesterday, Clarence House confirmed Kate Middleton and Prince William will be celebrating the Prince's landmark birthday 'in a low-key, private fashion'.
An official spokesman declined to reveal exactly what Kate had in store for William's celebrations, simply commenting: 'He’ll be spending it in a low-key, private fashion'.
Royal insiders say William and Kate have returned to their home in Anglesey, North Wales for the occasion, and will mark his birthday by hosting a quiet dinner for friends.

It's thought Kate has invited Prince Harry and her sister Pippa Middleton to the small party, as well as Prince William's school pals Thomas van Straubenzee and Guy Pelly.
The low-key celebrations are a far cry from Prince William's blow-out 21st birthday bash, which saw 300 guests, including Kate, enjoy an African-themed party at Windsor Castle.
No doubt guests at William's birthday dinner tonight will be wondering what you buy the Prince who has everything - especially in light of reports he's set inherit £10 million from his late mother, Princess Diana, today.
They could do worse than Kate Middleton, who is reportedly planning to present Prince William with a series of special gifts, including a scrapbook fully of memories of their relationship, a playlist full of music special to them, and a £25,000 Nicky Philipps portrait of herself.
