Kate Middleton hires Princess Diana’s former hairdresser for her upcoming visit to Australia
Kate Middleton has hired Princess Diana’s former hairstylist, Joh Bailey, to accompany her when she joins Prince William in Australia next year.
With Prince George’s christening just days away, it seems the Duchess of Cambridge’s mind has already turned to 2014 as she finalises plans for her visit down under.
Thankfully Joh is no stranger to taming royal tresses, as he’s famed for joining Princess Diana on a similar tour in 1996.
“[Diana] was the most elegant and gracious lady you could have imagined,” the Sydney-based hairdresser told an Australian newspaper.
Adding, “She had a ball in Sydney and loved everything about the city… she was a lot of fun. She would sit in the chair flicking through newspaper and magazine clippings, and read absolutely everything the tabloids wrote about her.”
Until then Kate has been sporting her signature blow-dry in all its glossy wonder, as she attended her first solo engagement on Friday - and even indulged in a spot of volleyball.

The new-mum championed her trusted navy hues as she hit the volleyball court in blue skinny jeans, a Ralph Lauren Breton top, a navy blazer and her favourite Russell & Bromley wedges.
So as the countdown to baby George’s christening continues, attention turns to Kate’s next dose of hair envy - sleek, voluminous and curled to precision, no doubt.
As if we ever doubted it, Kate looks to be juggling her royal duties and motherhood with little trouble.
