All eyes are currently on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after announcing that they are expecting their first child together in the Spring.

The couple are on their last leg of a 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, and they've been making headlines for various reasons - Meghan made an empowering speech about the importance of girls' education, Harry revealed whether he's hoping for a boy or a girl, and they were also rumoured to have snuck away for a mini-moon.

But while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are working hard on the other side of the world, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been busy here in the UK.

And it was during one royal engagement that the Duchess of Cambridge decided to open up about something that's really important to her and her family.

During a trip to Basildon Sporting Centre, Kate and William learned about an apprenticeship programme which helps young people who are not in education or employment to build a career in sports coaching.

Kate even got involved in a game of tennis, and Kensington Palace shared footage of couple getting involved with the games. It's actually heartwarming.

But there was one moment where Kate broke royal protocol by hugging a member of the public.

Royal fan Janet Emery put her arms around Kate, and she returned the sweet gesture while also sharing information about the importance of hugs in the royal household.

Kate often talks about life at home with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and it's always nice to hear that they're just like us really.

'Hugs are very important. That’s what I tell my children,' Kate revealed.

Isn't that lovely?

Brb, hearts are melting.
