Prince William looked visibly relieved as he left the hospital in London last night, having spent six hours with Kate Middleton

Pregnant Kate Middleton has issued a statement to let people know that she's starting to feel better and to thank the public for their good wishes.

Prince William looked visibly relieved as he left King Edward VII Hospital in London and even cracked a smile for the waiting media, who have been camped out since the news of the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy broke on Monday.

After 24 hours being attached to a drip and being treated for acute morning sickness,Kate has publicly thanked people for their support and assured royal fans that she's on the mend.

PRINCE WILLIAM VISITS KATE MIDDLETON IN HOSPITAL

St James’s Palace said: ‘The Duchess of Cambridge is continuing to feel better. She and the duke are immensely grateful for the good wishes they have received.

‘She will remain in hospital at present and will continue to be treated for hyperemesis gravidarum.’

Prince William, who stayed by Kate's side for six hours yesterday, has been granted compassionate leave from his job to remain in London to be with his wife.

As yet Prince William has been Kate's only visitor, with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, yet to make the trip up to London.

Kate, 30, is being well looked after with the Queen's personal surgeon-gynaecologist, Alan Farthing, and his predecessor taking care of her treatment.
