Kate Middleton is recruiting for house help to look after Kensington Palace

Kate Middleton and Prince William are believed to be breaking with royal tradition and won’t be employing a royal nanny once their baby is born. Instead, the couple are now looking for a new servant who will attend to Kensington Palace while they care for their child.

Once the new addition arrives this summer, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge plan to move into the newly renovated palace and are currently seeking an individual to help with the running of their new home.

The Sunday Express report the job description includes polishing silverware and glassware as well as being 'discrete, loyal and reliable.' The selected candidate must also ensure 'all areas of the residence are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.'

The role also requires preparing simple meals, driving, looking after in-house laundry and caring for the couple’s dogs and is currently being advertised internally at Buckingham Palace.

St James’s Palace has been keen to reveal Kate Middleton and Prince William have made the choice to keep their staff as small as possible. The Duchess doesn’t want to have a dresser or lady-in-waiting and she prefers to shop and cook for herself.
