The bookmakers’ odds for the royal baby’s name are heating up with female monikers at the forefront
Kate Middleton is yet to share the sex of her baby bump but that hasn’t stopped bookmakers from generating the odds on what baby name the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will choose and the figures appear to be favouring female monikers.
PRINCE HARRY REVALS KATE MIDDLETON IS HAVING A BOY
As Kate Middleton’s pregnancy enters the third trimester gamblers can now place bets on a host of royal-baby related areas including date of birth, hair colour and even if the newborn will arrive on the same day as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby.
But what everyone really wants to know is whether the third-in-line to the throne will be a boy or a girl. Ladbrokes reveal things swing towards a female addition to the royal family with the odds the baby being a girl are at 2-5 and for a boy they’re at 2-1.
And when it comes to baby names, the favourites for a little girl include Elizabeth, Alexandra and Diana at 6-1 and for a baby boy, George and Charles are at 14-1.

The betting odds contradict reports this week that Kate Middleton is having a baby boy after Prince Harry allegedly revealed the news to friends.
The royal couple aren’t giving anything away though while on a trip to Glasgow Duchess Kate admitted she’s been thinking about names saying: ‘We have a shortlist for both (boy and girl), but it's very difficult. My friends keep texting me names!’
With a due date of mid July we won’t have to wait long to find out!
