A team of historians have predicted that Kate Middleton will give birth on August 27 next year

It will be one of the most talked about pregnancies in history and we can reveal that Kate Middleton will give birth to her first child in August next year.

Apparently.

A team of historians have predicted that William and Kate's first baby will be born on August 27, 2013.

Having analysed the birth and marriage records of the Royal Family from the last 100 years, they discovered that, on average, royal couples give birth 851 days after their wedding.

If these historians are on the money, we can expect an official announcement in March 2013.

'There's certainly been a lot of speculation about when the arrival of a royal baby might be; the bookies are even taking bets on names,' said Rhoda Breakell, head of Genes Reunited, the website who conducted the research.

'William and Kate have spoken about their desire to start planning for a family, so make sure that you put the 27th August 2013 in your diaries, we have a good feeling about this one!'
