Who knew the French were quite so fond of Kate Middleton and Prince William!

It goes without saying that we're all completely in love with Kate Middleton and Prince William, but who knew the French were so taken with them too?

Our friends across the Channel have voted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge one of their favourite married couples, even choosing them above Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni.

The Harris Interactive poll for Gala magazine revealed that Kate and William are second in the popularity stakes only to Jean Dujardin, star of the hit film The Artist, and his actress wife Alexandra Lamy.
