Kanye West stunned a legion of Kate Middleton fans last night when he likened his and Kim Kardashian's baby daughter North West to the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

The outspoken rapper revealed that he felt that his firstborn is just as important as Kate by comparing her to royalty, as well as hailing his reality TV star fiancee as a modern day Marilyn Monroe.

'My daughter is in a position of a level of royalty like the prince and princess in London,' the proud father boasted in an interview with US radio show Power 105's The Breakfast Club.

Talking about how his wife-to-be is in the same league as gorgeous curvy supermodels such as Kate Upton, he continued on his rant.

'Kate Upton ain't Marilyn Monroe!', Kanye said. 'Kim Marilyn Monroe! She was controversial. She controversial [sic].'

These are just some of the latest brilliant Kanye-isms that have been leaked to the world over the past few weeks as the controversial rapper promotes his latest album, Yeezus.

Kanye also felt the need to tell the Chicago station that he sees himself as a 'modern day poet'.

'I’m just a creative', he boasted. 'I’m more like, a Walt Disney or something.'

'Like rap is just a chamber of my thoughts. It's something that I really wanted to express as a modern-day poet, because you know, if I had lived in a past lifetime, maybe I would have been a playwright or something.'
