Prince William and Kate Middleton to visit California

The newlywed pari will visit California following their official tour of Canada this summer

With rumours circulating about the possible destination of their honeymoon, one trip Prince William and Kate Middleton will be making is certain – their official tour of Canada. Now it has also been announced on the official royal wedding website that the happy couple will extend their trip to the US, staying in California for three days.

‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit California, United States of America, following their Tour of Canada in July this year,’ the statement read.

‘The couple will visit the State of California from July 8 to July 10, 2011. A detailed itinerary will be published at a later date.’

The trip will be Kate’s first ever official trip, as well as William’s first one to America.

It is thought the couple will head to a tropical island in the Indian Ocean for their honeymoon, later this month. There is also speculation that a visit to the Beckhams might take place whilst the two are stateside.
