After Lily Allen confirmed she had asked eponymous designer pal and head of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld to make her wedding dress, were more than a little surprised when the pregnant Smile singer walked down the aisle in a French Delphine Manivet gown.
But now the mystery has finally been solved. Yesterday Mr Lagerfeld posted a sketch of a secret second wedding dress he made for Lily's big day on the Chanel website.
Showing his designs for Lily's dress alongside a stylish snap of the songstress in the beautiful gown, the caption read simply: 'Sketch of Lily Allen's dress by Karl Lagerfeld. Photo of the fittings at 31 rue Cambon by Benoît Peverelli.'
So far, so cryptic. So you can't blame us for wondering who in their right minds wouldn't wear a Chanel wedding gown, if such an item had been designed (by the head of the design house, no less!) for them.
Luckily, Lily later revealed all on her Twitter account, explaining she wore her second secret wedding dress to the evening reception.
