The Mad Men actor wasn't always the smooth and successful man we know and love
There probably isn't one woman on this planet that doesn't lust after the smooth and achingly sexy Jon Hamm, but, believe it or not, it wasn't always that way.
The Mad Men star has revealed that he went to some pretty extreme lengths to make ends meet before he made it in Hollywood, and he even considered giving up and moving back home to Missouri.
While waiting for his big break, Hamm tried his hand at being a waiter, a bartender, a teacher and at one point he even worked on porn films.
'Let me just say, there was no penetration - it was soft-core porn,' he said in an interview with TVBiz.
'Essentially, I had to move furniture around sweaty, naked people. It wasn't a great job but the money was useful. I had to get by - I wanted to be an actor.'

Speaking about his struggles to make it as a star, he admitted that at times he felt like giving up.
He said: 'It was bleak - that was part of a three-year period where I had been solely rejected.
'It's hard, it's no fun. You have self-doubt and bitterness creeps in. I had given myself til my 30th birthday - I moved out to LA when I was 25 and I figured if I can't make it in five years of trying, then it's time to pack up.
'I got it just under the wire!'
And we're so glad he did!
The long-awaited fifth series of Mad Men returns to our screens next month.
