Johnny Depp took Amber Heard out for dinner in the Big Smoke last night, but decided not to take her as his date to the London premiere of The Lone Ranger...
Johnny Depp left his girlfriend Amber Heard behind when he attended last night's premiere of The Lone Ranger in Leicester Square, only to pick up her up en route to a dinner date with Bruce Willis.
Amber was uncharacteristically absent from the event having clung faithfully to Johnny's arm since he commenced his movie tour for The Lone Ranger earlier this month.
Dressed in a stunning silk red dress (fit for a red-carpet appearance) Amber joined her Hollywood flame at Cipriani's restaurant after the premiere, where they met dressed-down dinner mates Bruce and his wife Elizabeth, who both wore jeans.
Johnny and Amber – who split briefly back in January – were expected to go public with their relationship at the red carpet event to confirm weeks of speculation that they're an item. Instead, they waited until they were far away from film cameras to make their London debut as a couple, for which they held hands on a double date with Bruce. Amazing.
The Lone Ranger made a disappointing start in its first week at the American Box Office and is expected to be another summer flop for Disney, so perhaps Johnny thought his relationship would upstage the film.
Since reuniting, Johnny is reported to have bought Amber a $40,000 gift to excuse his absence during the movie's promotional period and also… an island, according to whispers in Hollywood.
