In a rare moment of candid vulnerability, the actor gushed about his fiancee. Aww...

Johnny Depp is known for keeping quiet about his love life. He rarely comments about his relationships - and it wasn't until they started walking red carpets together that we knew for sure that he was dating Amber Heard.

But all that is changing.

It seems the 50-year-old actor is so smitten with his fiancee that he just can't help but gush about her. In an interview with Savannah Guthrie for the Today show, Johnny finally opened up.

'She's a wonderful girl,' he said of the 27-year-old actress, who starred with him in 2011's The Rum Diary. 'She's sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me.'

During their chat, Johnny was, once again, wearing the diamond ring that he gave to Amber in January. When Savannah pointed out that he was wearing an engagement ring, he corrected her, calling it a 'chick's ring.' But when she said 'I think you looked engaged,' he accepted her congratulations.
