Jessie J has revealed the real reason behind her shock exit from The Voice, announced last month, during her first cover interview for Marie Claire UK.
Gracing the cover of the September issue with her statement platinum blonde crop wearing a black Gucci dress, Jessie J told us that she was changing her focus back to the music that made her a household name.
Jessie J, who had to postpone her 2013 Nice To Meet You tour at the start of The Voice Series 2 to finish her second album, told us she was reassessing her priorities.
She said: 'They sent the schedule through [for Series 3] and, for 40 of the 42 days they needed me for filming I was on tour.'
Owing to a nasty stage accident in 2011, Jessie also missed performing during last summer's festival season, having to pull out of shows for a broken leg. Now she knows that the stage is where she wants to be.
'I wouldn't be on [The Voice] if it wasn't for the music I have to get back to the core of who I am,' she said. 'I need to be on stage singing, not watching someone else.'

With two million copies of her first album Who You Are under her belt, Jessie's strength is certainly in her music-making, a triumph which she hopes to replicate when her second album hits the shelves later this summer.
So what will The Voice be if we're not tuning in for Jessie's week-to-week hair evolution and extensive collection of high-waisted knickers? We're stumped.
