Jessica Simpson has treated her Twitter followers to an adorable snap of her baby daughter, Maxwell.

The 32-year-old singer, who welcomed her first child into the world on May 1, tweeted a cute picture of her little bundle of joy looking content with life as she sat surrounded by pillows on an outdoor sofa.

Alongside the photograph of Maxwell – dressed in a blue and white striped romper – proud new mum Jessica Simpson wrote simply: ‘Life’.

Since Jessica and her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, became parents to Maxwell two months ago, the star has kept her five million Twitter followers up to date on her precious daughter’s progress with some super-cute pics and details of their daily life.

On Independence Day (4 July), the new mum posted a snap of her family standing in front of a colourful fireworks display, posting: ‘Hope everyone had a great 4th.’

Although the singer is now said to be concentrating on shedding her post-baby pounds, Jessica SImpson has admitted Maxwell is the central focus of her life.

‘From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!’ she said in a recent interview with People magazine.
