Actress Jennifer Lawrence is in the final stages of negotiating a deal for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire that will have her earning in the $10million range, according to The Hollywood Reporter. PICS: HUNGER GAMES WORLD PREMIERE
Lawrence, who plays the role of Katniss Everdeen in the film adaptation of the cult teen novels by Suzanne Collins, could even earn 'much more' than the $10million figure, depending on the film's box office success, according to the publication.
The actress, who was paid $500,000 upfront (plus a bonus based on box office performance) for the first film has become a big name after the success of The Hunger Games, which grossed $683.8million worldwide in the spring, earning her the opportunity to renegotiate her contract with studio Lionsgate. Co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have also reportedly renegotiated their contracts, but will receive smaller raises than Lawrence.
