Jennifer Lawrence indulged her inner geek at Comic-Con last weekend when she interrupted a Jeff Bridges interview to tell him how big a fan she was.

The starstruck star ran up to the 'The Big Lebowski' actor, coyly retreated and when she finally plucked up the courage to speak to him she shouted 'hi' from the sidelines.

Her nervous encounter was captured in a very amusing video when the E! News reporter kindly handed the awkward, apologetic star his microphone.

Jennifer began: 'What's your favourite movie, what's your favourite character, does it rhyme with 'The Schmood'?' without leaving him time to answer.

In true fan girl style, Jennifer was wide-eyed, flapping and breathless, clearly realing off questions she'd always wanted to ask her idol.

The Hunger Games actress, who still lives in her parents' condo, appears to be modest about her own success and is not yet satisfied that this could be a normal part of her life.

Jennifer bowed and left the encounter saying, 'Oh my god, this is so cool,' proving that even megastars have very public fangirl meltdowns.
