Jay-Z Raps about wife-of-four-years Beyoncé on new Kendrick Lamar track
It's been an ever bigger week for music's power couple than usual with both Beyoncé and Jay-Z making headlines with new releases.
On Sunday, Beyoncé dropped her new single 'Bow Down/I Been On,' a fierce track in which she refers to her high-profile marriage with the following lyrics: 'I took my time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted, this is my s**t.'
Now hubby Jay-Z has given the nod to his wife-of-four-years Beyoncé on his remix of the new Kendrick Lamar track 'B***h Don't Kill My Vibe', rapping: 'Up in the clouds, me and my spouse / Rumors on the ground gettin' too loud / Please turn them shits down, can't hear myself think.'
The verse also honours President Barack Obama, a close friend of the Carter's, with the lyrics: 'Presidential pardon, name one n---a out there harder than him / I'll wait, I've been in my weight like 20 years straight / I've been on my vibe like 20 years straight.'
BEYONCE AND ADELE TO PERFORM AT MICHELLE OBAMA'S 50TH PARTY?
While the 43-year-old rapper's hotly anticipated remix has already gone down a storm, Beyoncé's has had critics up in arms slamming her attitude in her new single, Bow Down.
