After months of speculation Spanish actor Javier Bardem has confirmed he WILL be taking on the role of the villain in the upcoming James Bond film.
His role as a psychopathic villain in No Country For Old Men won him an Oscar and now Javier Bardem will to return to the dark side after landing one of the most sought after roles in Hollywood.
When questioned about the latest 007 film on ABC's Nightline show, Bardem revealed: 'I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun. They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details.'
Daniel Craig will return as agent 007 in the Sam Mendes- directed film, rumoured to be called 'Skyfall', while young French actress Bérénice Marlohe is tipped to be the next Bond Girl and Naomi Harris to play Moneypenny.
