Ah, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift were once loves young dream, but since their break-up the actor has been very reluctant to talk publicly about their relationship. However, Jake was put on the spot this week and finally broke his silence about the singer.
The actor sat down with Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman — who he portrays in the new film Stronger — for a hilarious rapid-fire Q&A session on Facebook Monday. They answered a variety of questions about their favorite Boston movie and places to eat, but naturally, the conversation soon shifted focus to the famous pop star.
'If you lost your legs in real life, do you think Taylor Swift would write a song about it?' Bauman asked Gyllenhaal. 'Like a country song?'
'For me, or about it?' Gyllenhaal asked.

'For you,' Bauman said. 'Like a country song.'
'She sort of moved more into pop now,' Gyllenhaal responded.

Gyllenhaal and Swift briefly dated in 2010 and several songs from the singer’s Red album are widely believed to be about the actor, including All Too Well and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
However, the popstar has moved on since then, with Taylor Swift's boyfriend rumoured to be British actor, Joe Alwyn.
And while Gyllenhaal, 36, is usually tight-lipped when it comes to his romantic past, his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal was recently baffled by a question about rumours that Swift left her scarf at the family’s home years ago.
'I never understood why everybody asked me about this scarf,' she said when prodded by Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen. 'What is this?'
Cohen went on to reference Swift’s song All Too Well and its lyric, 'Left my scarf there at your sister’s house.'
'I am in the dark about the scarf,' Maggie responded, before clarifying: 'It’s totally possible. I don’t know. I have been asked this before.'
