You won't believe how much money J. K. Rowling earns a minute
Fancy giving us a loan until payday, hun?
Fancy giving us a loan until payday, hun?
Why are we all so obsessed with how much money the celebs earn?
Is it because we love to punish ourselves as we count down the days to payday? Could it be down to the fact that since the noughties we've dreamed of starring in our own episode of MTV's Cribs? Do we wish that we could use The Sims secret cash code IRL to live the fancy lifestyle we deserve?
(Yes to all of the above.)
We recently went through the royal family's worth to find out who is raking in the most cash, and we forgot to breathe when we found out what Adele earned in 2017.
Plus, we were pretty surprised to find out that Scarlett Johansson was named the highest earning actress of 2018 by Forbes thanks to her role in the Avengers series and brand endorsement deals.
But our latest fascination is with J. K. Rowling. Cosmopolitan UK reports that the queen of the wizarding world is worth so much money it'll bring a tear (or four) to your eye.

J. K's magical world spans books, films, spin-offs, theatre shows... she's an unstoppable force.
The HP film franchise reportedly brought in a cool £5.6 billion - according to Forbes the Harry Potter author is the third highest paid celeb in the world and is worth £480 million. According to online bookshop Wordery, she's currently earning around £142 a minute. Gulp.
We'll just let that sink in for a moment while we make a packet of noodles for dinner. Again.
